SId Roth Interview

Image
K One day we were in a prayer meeting and I was caught up in the praise and the prayer, and all of a sudden, I closed my eyes and instantly I was in the courtyard of Heaven, the most beautiful place I've ever seen in my life. There were beautiful pillars and gold and pearl on the floor, and adjac ent from the courtyard was the Throne Room. Now I didn't see Jesus in this experience, but I saw angels that were there. And all of a sudden, oil began to flow from the throne and saturate the floor of the courtyard. And I heard the voice of the Lord speak out of the throne and say, "I am purifying my church." And when he said that, instantly I was back in my body. And I began to search that out. I really studied that. And what I discovered was there were two aspects to that vision. First of all, the Lord i s releasing an anointing for healing and deliverance that the world has never seen before. In fact, I believe we're entering into ...

Victoria Osteen

Does praying for a material goal "dumb down" the idea of prayer? Victoria Osteen , the co-pastor of the Lakewood megachurch with her husband Joel Osteen, spoke to HuffPost Live host Marc Lamont Hill about the spiritual benefits of fasting and addressed the kind of prayer that she does in her daily life. "Even if I'm going to drop my kids off, or I need to park somewhere, I'm like, 'OK God, you know I'm in this parking lot, you know any place you can open up for me would be great!'" she said. "I just have this relationship- I'm not dumbing down prayer. What I'm doing- it's just part of my life."

19 Animals That Think They’re People By Mariam Jehangir If you were anything like us as a kid, you totally bought into the idea that animals act and talk the same way as humans do. And why wouldn’t you? That’s what the cartoons we all watched led us to believe. Winnie the Pooh, Top Cat, and Scooby-Doo all had one thing in common: animals as main characters. These animals went on adventures, had profound conversations, and immersed themselves in certain hobbies, just like people. But of course we grew up and realized that’s not the case. The animals above, however, didn’t quite get the memo. They not only believe they can do anything we can do, they actually go out and attempt them. And dare-we-say, they do some of these things better than we do. After seeing these images we realized we’re no one to question their abilities. From a chick popping a wheelie, to a duck drinking beer and a lizard totally chilling on a hammock, these animals can do it all. In all...

First-Ever 'Bible Women' Book Focuses Solely on 15,000 Words Spoken by Women in the Bible   A book about the women of the Bible claims to have counted all the words spoken by females in the Good Book, as well as the context in which they were spoken. Titled Bible Women: All Their Words and Why They Matter , the work was authored by the Rev. Lindsay Hardin Freeman, a former pastor at Trinity Episcopal Church in Excelsior, Minnesota. In an interview with The Christian Post on Tuesday, Freeman explained that the book derived from the absence of any theological work that had "a comprehensive and systematic analysis of which women talked in the Bible and what they said."
Prayers Works! Ebola Doc: I Held to Prayer 'Like a Drowning Man' HOLDEN, Mass. -- West Africa's Ebola outbreak has killed more than 8,000 people, including close to 500 healthcare workers. The need for medical professionals remains critical and that's why Ebola survivor and veteran missionary Dr. Rick Sacra is back at work at ELWA hospital in Monrovia, the capital of Liberia. CBN News spoke with Sacra, 52, at his home in Holden, Massachusetts, prior to his return earlier this month. Just four months ago, he spent several weeks battling the deadly Ebola virus at the University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha. He contracted it while volunteering in Liberia at the height of the outbreak. Sacra and his wife Debbie remember what it felt like as the disease took over. "I was just focusing on the Lord.  I tell you I hung on to the Lord's Prayer like a drowning man," he told CBN News. "I prayed through that prayer many times a day a...

During the National Prayer Breakfast, President Barack Obama spoke about violence that has been committed in the name of faith. The President said that both Christians and Muslims were guilty of justifying acts of violence with religion, a statement that has some raising eyebrows.        Obama said, “Humanity has been grappling with these questions throughout human history. Unless we get on our high horse and think this is unique to some other place, remember that during the Crusades and the Inquisition, people committed terrible deeds in the name of Christ. In our home country, slavery and Jim Crow all too often was justified in the name of Christ.”   He also referenced violence recently committed by Muslims including the Pakistan school attack, Charlie Hebdo shootings, war in Syria, killing of Muslims and Christians in Nigeria, and rise of anti-Semitism in Europe.    “It’s not unique to one group or one ...

I shifted my gaze from the window side of the luxury bus on my way from work. it’s been a tedious day and trying to get my heart away from activities at work if I could get some fresh air and nature into my system. Then Suddenly there was a screeching of the tires   with a high   sound, the bus that was on a top speed suddenly applied the brakes, I was seated at the back and at that moment it was like the back of the bus lifted. we were on the third mainland bridge , the longest bridge in Africa .. A greater jolt than that will have landed us   in the sea, what had happened? The car in front of the luxury bus had suddenly lost control and swerved and turned back with speed facing the bus who had been in top speed. It happened in less than 2 minutes. My heart jolted back to all have learned in church…’in a twinkle of an eye, you might be facing the creator’ it might be the end of life. Having thanked the lord for saving me, I thought of the people in the affected ...
